We're Moving!

Well, After some consideration we have decided to relocate for one reason or another...This our new home. It's about 2 minutes down the road from where we are now. We looked at it a few times before making the final decision. All the T's are crossed and I' dotted. We start moving this weekend.

It is about 23 hundred square feet with 3 bedroom's, 2 and a half baths and an exercises room...and Yes we have a garage now YEAH...finally a place to store our Christmas tree other than our bedroom...

We still have alot to do...paint, clean carpets and a major deep clean before Ill be moving anything in...It couldn't have happened a better time..I have one more week of before starting my new job..so this last week with be consumed with "stuff". Anyhow I will email everyone with our new address and a few More pictures after we are moved and setteld a little better..for know I have to get back to emptying out our closets for garbage day tomorrow...

Keeping perspective

When we're in the midst of a dreadful time, it often helps to remember that one day we'll be able to tell a great story about it, one we'll laugh at. We'll laugh because , in retrospect, what we thought was a crisis really wasn't so serious after all. Or we'll laugh because we made it through the crisis and came out stronger on the other side.

I'll try to keep my perspective, remembering that even the worst day is only one small moment in my life.

Tough Friday.

Well, I cant say that today was a great day for me..It started with a horrible thunder storm this morning..Milo freaked out a bit and Kyle was a bit scared..Chase had already been on the bus for 45 minutes so he was gone..I decided to keep Kyle home today for one I felt sorry for him and I surly did not want to get trampled on trying to get in the school door by a bunch of kids...

I had a list of things I needed to do..after the rain let up a little bit, Kyle and I ran a few must do errands that could not wait (unfortunately) and had to hurry back to get chase in time get him to his Otho appointment..That went okay..he had four spacers put in place for the braces to go on next week, also had a molding of his teeth made (I thought he was going to gag) and a few x-rays. By the time that was done the doctor said only soft foods and make sure we have Tylenol or Motrin on hand..so off to the store we go AGAIN...all the way there I hear nothing but "I wanna go home" not a good thing to say to me after a very rough beginning to the week and an even rougher start to the weekend...We just seem to have a lot of things going on right now all at once....always seems to happen that way. I am really trying to retain my faith and believe where a window closes a door will open..please , please , please let that be true!

Car trip ...4th tournament!

Just a few car trip pics from our drive back to Shelbyville this morning....Much to our surprise, we received a call this morning saying we had a game scheduled at noon...YIKES, we had to really hustle to get everyone out of the house by 10:30....Needles to say we made it in plenty of time.

Unfortunately we did not win this game...only 5 team mates were able to make the last minute game today so all the boys who did show up were VERY tired...

Not sure what happens next except practice next Sunday...

Basketball........

Well, defeated we were today..unfortunately we lost both games today..but they were intense. Chase did real well and scored 8 points total today, and I must say he sure does work up an appetite cause all he can think about is food when we leave...my little boy is a growing boy and sometimes its hard to keep up with his eating requirement's...I ll get it sooner or later..

Poor Kyle tried to be a trouper today but by the second game he fell asleep and slept for about an hour and half..plus he has a little cold starting.

These photo's were a little tough to take cause Chase does not like his picture to be taken so i have to sneak them in when I can.. He is number 10 in these pictures...

Baby chicken's where?

Oh my gosh who can resist these babies..? I'll tell you not, and that is me..We had the pleasure of taking care of these little guys for a few days while there owners were out of town...

A little bit of advise to those who want a picture of these cuties..make sure the flash is off cause when I snapped they went a little crazy...But all is good. I will say that my chicken fix is not over , oh no, it has only just begun!

Birthdays cakes and Basketball games!

Birthday cake and a basketball game sums up our Friday night. Mike turned 38 yesterday. Hard to believe, time goes by soooo fast. I Remember him turning 25, which does not seem like it was that long ago, but two kids, 4 dogs and 4 moves with one to a new State later here we are in Tennessee celebrating his 38th! while Mike was at work yesterday I made him a chocolate birthday cake with butter cream frosting and yes it was as good as it sounds! I bought him a book for his gift cause any one who knows mike knows that he is a big reader. I found a neat book by Steven K Scott called : the smartest man who ever lived" (talking about Jesus). He has already started it, and really likes it. He also received some nice cards in the mail which was nice. Anyhow, Moving on to our evening, we left the house yesterday at 5:30 to head to Chase's first basketball tournament with this new traveling team needless to say it was a victory with chase adding 8 points to the game. Kyle was a bit restless in the stands until 3 little girls caught his eye, from there he was off climbing bleachers and exploring the hallways.
Today is Saturday and we are packing for a trip to Tullahoma Tennessee for two more tournament's this afternoon. We only need to win one game today to move on to tomorrow...then we may have two more. Time will tell. Any how best of luck to Chase and his new team!

The right thing?

Sometimes we waffle over what to do in a difficult situation simply because we're reluctant to do what we know we have to do.
Maybe there's some sacrifice we don't really want to make. Maybe we just don't want to put out the effort it's going to take. So we procrastinate----asking for advise, weighing alternatives, hoping we'll find some way out of the situation. This is usually a frutile exercise; we still have to do the right thing. If I know what to do , I will do it rather than look for excuses not to. The satisfaction of knowing I've lived up to my own values will be worth any discomfort I might experience!

The truth of the matter is that you always know the right thing to do. The hard part is doing it.

A boy and his dog....

Check out Milo..he is getting so big! gaining weight and playing his heart out! where ever kyle is Milo is. I cant say Milo is to happy about that though...

The very first thing that Kyle will say in the morning when we get him up for school is "where is Milo" our morning ritual is Milo laying in bed with Kyle before breakfast then a quick follow to the Bathroom where the morning bath is completed..as Yes Milo ends up getting wet and Kyle thinks its sooooo funny to lean his wet head over the edge so Milo gets soaked to! sooooooo much fun at 7 am..from there we gallivant to the coach were kyle makes Milo play army men and watch him draw before we head off to school..now sometimes this is cute..well okay maybe only the first..but what am I to do with a little boy who loves his Dog so much..? hmmmmm?

What ??? another Trophy, get outta here!

Today we attended a basketball banquet from the team that Chase just completed and actually already received a trophy for. To our surprise his coach went out on his own and had special trophies made for each player on the team! how cool! we had a great time ..having pizza and playing video games while I chatted with the parents and we also got to hear a Little bit about each player from there coach! All and all i must say we are very pleased with the outcome!
Today (Sunday) chase went to his second practice for this traveling team..and the first one that i sat through (cause mike went to the first) and WOW what difference in the coaching! This man is amazing ...Chase had such a hard work out, that when we left his face was red and blotchy..not what I can say about this past coach..but oh well..He came home and was COMPLETELY exhausted , which we have not seem him that way in a while. I think it's great! and really good for him. We have our first tournament this Thursday and we are very much looking forward to it! GO CHASE!!!!!!!!

Creating ourselves

We make choices every day that define who we are and what we value. How we dress. what we eat. Where we live. what we do with our spare time. How we treat other people. How we treat ourselves.
We need to make those choices carefully and thoughtfully because this is how we create who we are!

Chase getting off the bus today..and kyle of course with his new best friend..

Awww, not fare....

Did someone say BASKETBALL!!!!

It was a typical Sunday at home today..Milo got everyone up ,
(well I'll say he got Mike up) this morning at 4:00am and was just full of it...I and the boys on the other hand can easily pretend that we don't hear anything and sleep right through it...hehehe
..

I made a roast for dinner tonight, although I think I have done better in the past,,oh well...didn't really feel like it anyway. Everyone seemed to like it so that's good.

On a good note, Chase was offered a spot on a traveling basketball team yesterday and we are VERY excited about this because the coach actually approached Chase about it. Practice was supposed to start today but it was moved to Tuesday, as far as we are aware he will play in 8 tournaments and practice twice a week..so just as we ended his other basketball season, we embark on a new one which means crazy schedules...But we are very excited and are pleased. Chase worked for this on his own and someone saw the talent he has and well the rest is history.

I on the other hand am getting ready to start a new job...I finally received a start date and its April 13th, which cant come any sooner! Before I started going back to work full time and I was home I would sometimes say" boy one more year and Ill be able to be at home ALL day by myself" and actually looked forward to it. But i must say being home these past few weeks with the kids in school and me at home ALL day is not all its cracked up to be. I find myself day dreaming and face booking all day...Iv tried to get into some books that I really need to read but the house is SO quite that my mind wonders and I cant stick with just one thing. I have also tried to volunteer up at the middle school and kyles school but there is nothing for me to do..so that's that... We are looking to move here in May so that's something else I am searching for....We have decided n the next house we choose we are getting some chickens..we have recently just met a really nice family and was over there a few days ago and they have chickens and well i instantly fell in love with the idea and so did mike...so apparently living here in Tennessee has changed the way I ever thought we would live..but its all good. God brought us here for many reasons I'm sure, we were unsure at first, but trust God has brought us here for bigger and better things is something we are now learning. He has brought certain people in our lives that I believe is a blessing!
So anyhow I'm going to go kiss my children and relax on the couch for the remainder of the night and just soak it all in! God Bless...

And More....

Saturday Pictuers at home

The weather here today is AWESOME to say the least, we are at 74 degrees here and loving it...these are a few pictures of the kids enjoying a ice cream break and Milo is just chilling on the couch after a hard play outside today..
