Ohhhh Yummy Cinnaman cake!

One of the benefits right now of me staying home for a bit is that I can make yummy deserts during the day for my family to enjoy after school or work.....And they sure do love it..

Seeing Chase get off the bus everyday is a cool thing! we get some extra special time together before the house turns upside down with our nightly activities, such as dinner, homework, putting laundry away etc....and just settling down to start all over the next day....but at the day's end I can say I love my life!

Living in the moment

From moment to moment, my thoughts want to drift away from the present, backwards to the future. The allure may be rosy of a nostalgic past or the bright promise of a better future. Or, in the darker moods, I may punish myself with memories of past mistakes or fears of unrealized troubles. What I lose when I focus on the past or the future is the reality of now, this moment, the only time i truly have. And I am very lucky to have it!

More of Milo..we are having so much fun with him!

Little Things

The Faucet is leaking, we walk out of the house with mismatched socks, we run out of milk,we're low on gas, the yard needs picking up, we forget to thaw some meat for dinner-----these sorts of trivial issues can pile up to ruin a day.

But only if we let them.

We can't think big thoughts all the time, but we can keep the little things in perspective and not let their sheer numbers overwhelm us.

I'm going to take a deep breath------maybe even two or three deep breaths----and remind myself that as annoying as the minor problems of everyday life are, I'm not going to fret about them.

One resolution I have made, and will try to always keep is this, To rise above the "little" things!

When our lives are difficult , we feel as if things will never change. This in turn, makes it harder for us to take the steps that might create the change we want.
when I look back on my life I can see that I have had good and bad times. Somehow I survived the bad times, and eventually things got better. The passage of time helped, but
I also acted in ways that moved me in a better place.

My life is filled with ups and downs. If today is a bad day---or this week is a bad week---- I Know it's not forever and that I will come through it!

Boys will be Boys!

Okay sooooo here is Kyle running through the house while I chase him to get in the bath....And for those of you who are wondering what in the world is he holding behind him..it's a football. Friday while at his after school fun company he lost another tooth, so the tooth fairy brought him that.

This weekend has really been just like every other weekend, grocery shopping, basketball game Which by the way they kicked but and Won! Chase made a few swooshes it was real cool!

Today the weather here is Awesome almost 60 degrees, so I think the kids will be out riding bikes in the back and maybe ill do some light yard work....mmmmm maybe not...The super bowl is tonight and so Ill be making my annual Chili for Mike per his request and enjoy watching the boys enjoy the game together! Life is Great when you have boys and they enjoy the same things....
