Did I mention I LOVE taking pictures of my kids

So across the street is this piece of land...i thought hey a perfect spot to use my camera!

Easter baskets and Egg hunts

So, this was the year I feared Kyle would be to big for a Easter Egg hunt...which made me sad for obvious reason's. Little did i know I was completely wrong! So the story is a few days ago kyle says to me"So mom Eater is in a few days did you get the eggs for the Easter eggs hunt"? on the other hand i was completely caught off guard as i thought he would not be interested in that this year and yet SO completely relieved and quietly did my own Happy dance and ran out to target and thankfully was able to find a box...I will always give my boys a Easter basket probably even when they are grown and out of the house..just cause Easter wouldn't be Easter for "me" without doing such a thing..Even tho we all understand that really has nothing to do with true meaning of the day..its just something that makes me smile from ear to ear watching the anticipation in there eyes as they look through there baskets..and Yes even Chase still enjoys his basket..although the Egg hunt this year he joined myself and Mike on the porch with our coffee watching as Kyle ran through the yard collecting all 50 eggs that were hidden just minutes before.. and as all that was going on I did however take a long glance at chase as he sat in the rocking chair next to his dad..and thinking to my self Wow!! where has the time gone! I'm looking at this young man not a little boy anymore..whom is starting high-school soon and I stand in awe of the wonderful man mike and I are raising...in the meantime while i still have him at home i enjoy every minute we have with him..he is very busy these days just being a teenager, aka: spending alot of time with his Friends on the weekends that is when hes not on the football Field..I Love that he is so likable that he has so many people other then mike and I that want to spend so much time with him..then as i take another glance out in the yard at kyle running from tree to tree with pure joy finding his eggs..and how thankful I was able to watch him do this year another year..Next year may be different and he may say Umm, yeah mom I'm not a baby any more..Ugh i dread those words but expect its coming..and that's OK, at that point we shall move in the next chapter in our lives what ever that may be. Happy Easter 2011

A newly found hangout

Ok, so we recently came across this place called Sodium, its a faith based community center from young children to teenagers. I took kyle there for the first time yesterday and ended up buying a membership (which I had no plan to do). As soon as we walked in we were greeted by some of the nicest gentleman who offered a tour and a mocha..he had basically had me at Mocha..:-)..

Anyhow, its somewhat like a giant where house that includes a indoor tree house, Lego room, rock climbing wall, music room, art room, pool tables , air hockey and ping pong! AND my favorite thing a coffee bar all the while surrounded with lots and lots of brown leather comfy coaches to just plop down and just soak up the surroundings of laughter and good old family conversation..there also is a stage where they play Christan music followed by the video on xlarge screen..and lets not forget the video stations they have hooked up..Wii and xbox..

Kyle and I hung out there for almost 4 hours yesterday and the only reason we left is that i had bought fresh milk and butter from the farmers market that morning.. Thank goodness for the freezer bag from Costco i had in the car..

So needless to say we have found a place that makes everyone of us happy..and i don't have to worry the language being thrown around!..and most importantly surrounded by Godly people.
