One of the most wonderful things about being young is the sense that we still have the whole world in front of us. We haven't yet fixed our path one way or the other, and the horizon seems to extend endlessly before us. It's an exciting time.
Every choice we make in life closes off one or more possibilities. But choices can also open up possibilities. No matter what age we are, we can always look forward and imagine new paths that we might take.
No matter how old I am, there are always opportunities, always new things I can do!

Hook, Line and sinker!

Okay, So today was the big day for Chase, His braces were put on this morning and he did great! a little uncomfortable and those of you who have had that done can relate. It was such a weird feeling for me to see him laying there getting this done..I simply remember bringing him home from the hospital , teaching him to walk, rocking him to sleep, first day of pre-school and kindergarten, Know seeing this next turning point in his life, braces..When people say it "Don't blink" they mean it. Before I realize it we will be planning his graduation and looking for colleges..Wow time sure goes by fast.
Here are some pictures from the waiting room to the final step! Also, you know you are a true North Carolina fan when your braces match there team color! :-)

Rain Rain Go away!!!!!
Yeah well, we had a horrible thunder storm here today..We were expecting it but when it actually hits it is kinda intense!..After Chase got off the bus the skies were real dark looked scary. So I thought well, If i zoom up to get kyle at school and not leave him at after care today I wont have to run back out and worry about driving in the weather. Well, was I wrong! As soon and I mean a split second after I walked into school they were put on a lock down. That means no one in the entire school is allowed to leave, and yes the weather was that bad. The kids were all in hallway on there knees with there heads between their legs. Most kids were crying and some even threw up they were so scared. I must admit I was worried as well. Ive never been any where that I was forced to stay (as an adult I must add) . I was glad to see how the school handled such situation. Very impressive! I'm just Glad to be home and safe...As we sit in the hallway I had my arm around both of my kids, I felt relieved being there with them. And as I looked over at chase his eyes were closed and was praying...my sweet boy..That is a moment I will never forget.
I'm glad to home now where my kids are tucked in there beds.
