Chase Playing Quarter Back!

Here is chase playing quarter back! Awesome picture and so proud of him!..
Chase played an incredible game last night, he was head to head with anyone who was opposite of him and drove them down the Field or held them in place! I LOVE IT!!

Later in the game he tackled yet another big player and there helmets collided very hard bringing in chase to the ground to where he blacked out for a few seconds..saw stars and the whole shebang..Mike was on the chain and i on the other side of the fence taking pictures and cheering him on..when all of a sudden there he was laying there surrounded by the coaches and refs..and then they motioned for mike and I too head that way..my legs felt like jello trying to get to him..when i did they were doing there thing asking him questions and checking different pressure points on his body..He then was carried off the Field by his coach and benched where he was checked out by the nurses..we thought he was "OK' until he became lethargic, pale, and head was dropping lower and lower..at that point we scooped him up and headed to the ER were they took a CT scan of his brain that confirmed his concussion..after he was released and we got him home he went to bed but i awoke him a few times in the middle of the night..which this morning he don't seem to remember.

Bottom line is no Activity, Gym class or Football until cleared by his PCP..scariest thing we have gone through so far..

Go Cowboys!

Corner VS wide reciever! Corner WINS!!!!

Chase and this kid went head to head every time they faced each other..chase held his own very well and then some!

Recently on Sundays I like to blog about chases football game, and show a few pictures of the event..however there was no picture taking this past game..if you remember in one of my previous Blogs i wrote about a team who played very "dirty" and we had alot of hurt players including a broken ankle all due to the other team..well, we played them again yesterday.

On game days the team is asked to be there one hour before the game starts for conditioning and game planning..also hoping to take a peek at the game that's going on already..while our boys were doing there thing..mike and I were very involved in the current game going on...as we sat there on the side lines..my stomach sank! there were kids flying left and right and time outs being called which seemed like every few minutes due to the fact of Franklin's team players were hurt...by the team we were up against next only bigger players.. well as a mom or any parent i should add..i wanted to pack up our things grab chase and get the heck out of there..BUT..we didn't..that would have sent him the wrong message.

It was our turn to start the next game and...i felt sick through out most it..as i turned my head to check on Kyle who was involved in his own little side line game of tackle football with the little brothers of the boys playing with chase..all of a sudden i turn back to watch the game..not even hearing that a time out was issued and there lays one of our players on the Field surrounded by the coaches..from where i sat i could not tell who the player was..THEN..i saw Chases gloves...he was not moving!! oh my gosh..It took everything I had in me not to jump that rope dividing us to get to him...I called out to Mike who was well aware of what happened and who was way calmer them me.. we all just remained still..(silent)..if another ,minute had gone by before i started to see movement from him i probably would have hopped that rope..eventually he arose with the help of two coaches one on each side and carried him off the Field.

As he came closer to mike and I he was crying..he ended up being OK..what happened was chase tackled the guy with the ball and as they both fell to the ground this monster kid who weighed probably 200 pounds landed on top of him..turning his neck the wrong way and injuring his back..we took his shoulder pads and jersey off..and there was knot about the size of a softball on his back..we had plenty of ice packs ..and with a little muscle massage he able to get back out on the Field..

Thankful we are done playing against that team! Now I grew up with a brother who played this sport as well..not thinking anything of that at that time of course, cause he could surly handle his own but i remember him getting injured on occasion....now i relate with what my parents must have felt with there son out there...scary...Yes I understand these things come along with playing a sport..you just never expect it to be your own..

So, No Football pictures this weekend..but as usual I did manage to shot a few here and there..after the game we spent the afternoon in Nashville..had a nice lunch and just roamed the downtown area..

Me at 38..A Mom..wife and full time employee

Well, here I am unloading the dish washer for the third time today.which is not abnormal here...and as i look out the front window i see Mike, Chase and Kyle playing football ,not that i haven't seen this a million times before, but for some reason today it was different for me.

My brother turned 35 today and when i called to wish him happy Birhtday i assumed he was 36...he laughs of course and so did i when he corrected me ...i added a year on to his life and well i guess me to. That just goes to show ya that we all get So wrapped up in all our busy life's with work, school, sports and just the craziness of life that before you know It its been a year gone by...and that's OK..as long as we all know that we love each other and are here for one another..

Mike, I and the kids have lived here for almost 5 years now..Wow !! We have lived at 3 different addresses & for myself have had 2 different employers..i think we are still trying to find where we fit here.

I have a full time job working for a integrative physician at a local doctors office. Ive been back to work now full time for 4 years now..actually almost 5. It was tough in the beginning. Before moving to Tennessee i was a home maker.

Mike is still doing what he does best....Woodworking.

Chase is now in his last year of middle school..now how the heck did that happen so fast? he has finally hit puberty..has a dark mustache filling in and his voice has deepened..next year about this time he will be driving..WOW!! that was weird to type. He is playing Varsity Football and has plans on playing basketball for his school team this November.. I love that he is so involved in sports.

Kyle has blossomed alot this past year as well..he will for sure be taller then me..and a great athlete when he decides to commit to a team..He just started 3rd grade and is doing very well..he is still in program where he gets extra one on one help each school day and that has completely done wonders for him! If anything great has come out of us moving to Tennessee its the school system...much more advanced then where we came from.

A typical week here for us is waking at 4:30am getting the kids off to school, working 8 to 11 hour days. Mike Gets chase to football practice 3 times per week and don't get home until 8:15 and that's when homework is started and dinner is eaten...I get out of work and head to get Kyle by 6pm..then home to finish homework..which by the way is way to ridiculous for 3rd grade..unload the washer to the dryer to wash yet another load..and same with the dishwasher..then watching the clock so i have dinner done At he exact time when i hear mikes van pull up..at that point we all Rush to eat and get ready for the next day of doing it all over again...and i love it!

And thast my life right now at age 38! would I Change one thing about it? NO WAY

Franklin Vs Clarksville

Ugh, well cowboys actually lost this game pretty bad..0-60 OUCH!

This team that we played against looked like 20 year olds they were so big...Last weeks game was a tough one too..the tram we played against played very dirty..mean. We had a few injuries on our side and one of our key players had his ankle broke in two spots...know I realize that these things come along with the sport any sport i might add. One of the opponents teams coaches actually yelled to his player to punch our player in the mouth...oh my gosh..i thought this was supposed to be fun..but now every game i seem to be inspecting the size of players and listening alot closer...its scary when you send your son out there against these monsters..I'm thankful so far we have had nothing "major: happen..all we can do at this point is trust that our coaches out there teach our boys a little better on defending themselves out on the Field without hurting someone...

Family fun at Chases football game last night

Uncle mark, Aunt Tina , Rachel and Matt sat with us on the side lines last night at chases football game and helped cheered him on...
